During our Order of Operation Unit we made a literacy connection to The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. In The Phantom Tollbooth, the main character travels to a new land where Digitopolis exists. Digitopolis doesn't have any order until several events take place. Once the events take place the operations, or people, are put back in order. These pictures depict the order or operations that we use in math class, but with reference to the book.
