Dividing Fractions and Mixed Numbers
Objective: I can divide fractions and mixed numbers.

6.EE.7 Students will reason about and solve one-variable equations and inequalities.

Math & Science Project
Fact: The three-toed sloth is the slowest moving animal on land. He isn’t lazy, just very slow. His legs and feet are shaped for a very comfortable life in trees. He is very adept at moving from branch to branch or just hanging out. He is not built to move on land. His average speed is 0.15 miles per hour.
Directions: Research the following animals to find their average speed. Then compare the animals speed to that of a sloth.
Animals: Cheetah, Lion, Elk, Coyote, Zebra, Giraffe, Cat, Elephant ,Chicken, and Garden Snail.
