MATH & SOCIAL STUDIES PROJECT
Fact: Three top hiking trails in the United States are the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and the Continental Divide Trail. The Appalachian Trail is 2174 miles long and spans from Maine to Georgia.
Directions: Research to find how many miles of the Appalachian Trail can be found in each state. Then show the portion of the total trail in the states as a fraction. Finally, put each fraction in simplest form.
